Ang Gagamba Ko
In a lush island nation, learn to collect magical spiders, cultivate mystical branches, and master using both in battles as a foreign robotics company secretly threatens the land you call home.
Ang Gagamba Ko is a creature collector RPG game concept inspired by Pokemon, Fossil Fighters, and engine-builder card games.
Explore the lush island nation of Vale, full of magical gagamba that people keep as companions to fight alongside them using uniquely mystical cultivated and grafted tree branches to aid them in fights.
The player, a high school student feeling unsure of their future, enters in Vale's yearly laban ng gagamba tournament hoping to find fame, purpose, and success at a time where a company, Engineered Automatons Inc., establishes a presence in Vale.
As the player continues throughout the tournament, they catch a glimpse behind the green curtain, starting to question Engineered Automatons true purpose in their involvement with the tournament, and if this is truly
something they can handle alone.
Attached is a collection of documents outlining the concept, narrative, and gameplay for this game.
This concept was made for a class at DePaul University titled "SCWR 449: Storytelling for Video Games".
