Mr. President Duck
A quacky comedy card game!
Mr. President Duck! is a 4-8 player improv comedy card game full of mischief and mayhem as players describe
"attack" their fellow Secret Service agents in the funniest way possible. Players take on the role of Mr. President,
new hires of the Secret Service at the Yellow House, and a Gooseassin who has infiltrated their ranks.
As the graphic designer of the team, I was in charge of designing the cards, rulebook, and making the layout of text and images for both using Adobe Illustrator and InDesign.
Additionally, I met with the team regularly to get internal feedback on the designs and discuss the design of the game, and helped conduct and facilitate playtesting sessions.
Gameplay Overview
As a precaution against the Gooseassin, the Secret Service has locked away all deadly weapons, and agents must use whatever is at hand to attack,
like a hand buzzer, a slotted spoon, or an ostrich fossil. To be more quacky, every newly hired agent has a hidden trait, like “You are a high surfer”
or “You are a former news anchor”, that the players must embody while attacking. Meanwhile, the Gooseassin is doing their best to blend in with this chaos.
Being funny is part of the job description, and only the funniest attack scores points each round. In each round, the role of Mr. President rotates around the table while the other roles are randomly assigned.
Once everyone has been Mr. President, or until all players agree to impeach Mr. President, the quackiest player with the most points wins Agent of the Year, and the game!
