The Future of Eating Food is Here!

Grab your crane arm lassos and step into the rotary ring to see how much food delicious food you can eat in under a minute to beat out the others. But be careful, where you swing, as not all food that you grab will turn out to taste good. You're a picky eater after all.

This game was made for the DePaul x Trident University Game Jam 2025 as part of DePaul's Computer Gaming & Animation study abroad program to Japan in the summer of 2025 and winner of the Honor of Excellence Award

Gameplay Overview

In Rotary Rodeo, players have a minute to grab as much yummy food as they can. Swing your lasso around in a circle using the control stick or alternating between the arrow keys to charge in a circle and press A button or spacebar to let it fly out in the direction it faces. The faster you swing it, the further it goes out. Any food it grabs will then be retracted straight into your mouth. Most foods will earn you points, but some foods make you sick to your stomach and will deduct points from your score.
